Community Information

The State Library provides information to and from the community via the Vicnet Community Information Portal.

The portal is a website where people can access and share community information online. It has over 10,000 links to organisations and businesses, from sports clubs and schools to historical societies and art galleries. The links are organised in categories including community, culture, education, recreation, family, government, health and travel. There is also a calendar of community events and other useful links.

It’s easy (and free) to put a link to your website on the portal. (Priority is given to Victorian websites, and sites containing information about Victoria or of interest to Victorians.) You can also place an event listing on the portal, to promote an upcoming event. To add your website or event listing, just follow the links from the portal homepage.
